This policy explains what information is collected when you use any of Cheryl & Company’s sites, services, product and content at  www.cherylkempton.com, www.goddessapproach.com, and any other related websites, hereafter referred to as the ‘Website(s)’.

Cheryl & Company LLC is a limited liability company organized under the laws of Minnesota, USA.

What personal data is collected and why

Personal information

Information is collected when you sign up for my mailing list, download a free product, purchase a product, or contact me through the Website(s). The information you provide will include some or all of the following: first name, last name, email address, postal address, and phone number. This information is only collected if provided voluntarily by the visitor to the Website(s).

When you opt-in to receiving emails from me, you will be added to my database stored at my email marketing service (such as iContact or MailChimp).

Order information

When you purchase anything from the Website(s), you need to provide certain information related to the sale of goods.

In addition to your personal information, this may include your PayPal email address, billing and/or shipping address, product purchased, quantity and price of product, and other such information required to complete the sale. I do not collect your debit or credit card details.

Payment Vendors

I use third party payment vendors (such as PayPal) to process the sale (transfer of money) for my products. Information provided by you to these vendors will be collected and processed by these companies under their own privacy policies and terms of use and is not covered by this privacy policy.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the Website(s), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the Website(s) can download and extract any location data from images on the Website(s).

Contact forms

I collect any additional information that you provide voluntarily via the contact forms or other mechanisms on this site (such as via a survey).

This data is used to provide market and product information, respond to comments, respond to email requests, and, when you opt-in, to add you to my email marketing list per your request.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on one of my sites, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, a temporary cookie is set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, several cookies are set up to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

This privacy policy does not cover the use of cookies by third parties.

Third-party services & embedded content

Some of the content that you see displayed on the Website(s) is not hosted by Cheryl & Company. These files and programs send data to the hosted site just as if you were visiting that site directly.

This includes but is not limited to:

  1. Embedded content within articles and pages such as videos (e.g., YouTube or Video), images, articles, audio files (e.g., SoundCloud),  as well as social media boxes, feeds, and links (for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc)
  2. Scheduling Service. I use third party scheduling service (such as Acuity Scheduling) to facilitate the booking of appointments. Information provided by you to the scheduling service will also be collected and processed by these companies under their own privacy policies and terms of use.
  3. Payment Vendors as mentioned above.
  4. Third-party analytics service (such as Google Analytics) to evaluate your use of the Website(s), compile reports on activity, collect demographic data, analyze performance metrics, and collect and evaluate other information relating to mobile and internet usage of the Website(s). These third parties use cookies and other technologies to help analyze and provide me the data. They do not provide me with any personal information. I do not control what data third parties collect in cases like this, or what they do with it. These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Third-party services & embedded content are not covered by this privacy policy. They are provided by the privacy policy of the third-party service.

Other information

Examples of other information that could be collected about your browsing history may include but are not limited to your IP addresses (which may be traceable to a specific computer or device), browser type and language, referring and exiting URLs, date and time, amount of time spent on particular pages, what sections of the Website(s) you visit, and other information about your device (including the type of device, network type, carrier and country location, and other similar data).

Why I collect your data

In addition to reasons stated above, your information is collected so that I may provide you with my services, fulfill orders and purchases, conduct promotional campaigns, inform you of products and services that I am able to offer, maintain the Website(s), assess the effectiveness of the Website(s) and promotional campaigns, understand my market and your needs, collect feedback, and inform you of products and services that I am able to offer.

Who I share your data with

I will not sell or intentionally publicly share your data except for the following reasons:

  • I may at times share your information with a service or company when necessary for the fulfillment of products, for technical assistance, or for other services that will help me provide a better service to you.
  • You information will also be visible to third-party services providing technical support to the Website(s) and/or the email marketing list.
  • To the extent permitted by law, I may also disclose your information: (i) when required by law, court order, or other government or law enforcement authority or regulatory agency; or (ii) whenever I believe that disclosing such information is necessary or advisable, for example, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cheryl Kempton or others.

Any information you provide voluntarily on the public part of the Website(s) (such as comments) may be seen by others. Cheryl Kempton and Cheryl & Company LLC are not responsible for any unauthorized third party use of such information.

How long your data is retained

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on the Website(s), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Personal and order information will be retained indefinitely.

Your opt-in information and subscription to the email marketing list will be retained indefinitely. You can use the link provided in those emails to modify your information, change your subscription preferences, or unsubscribe altogether.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data held about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that any personal data held about you be erased. This does not include any data I are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How I protect your data

I endeavor to take all steps possible to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, I cannot guarantee the security of the Website(s), my records, my email marketing service, or information being transmitted over the internet to and from me or the Website(s).
